De Jager Pigeons is located at two locations. We previously only flew at Tachtigbunderweg as Comb. De Jager. After John moved to the new house, we decided to fly at two locations. On the Tachtigbunderweg still as Comb. De Jager and at Tonnendijk as Gebr. De Jager.
Tachtigbunderweg
On the Tachtigbunderweg we have two lofts. The first one is about 10 meters long. And the second one is about 5 meters long. Both lofts are built by father Jan de Jager together with sons John and Roy. The lofts are completely isolated and in the upper part of the lofts we created a sort of chimney for better ventilation. On the front side, we also have created air ducts below the windows, so the fresh air can come in.
Tonnendijk
On the Tonnendijk we have a loft that is about 17 meters long. It is a ‘Van Zon’ loft build by Prefab Twente in June 2020. We are playing since 2020 on this new loft and from the beginning it was good. The things we changed are the plates in the sealing of the hens loft on the right side because it was too dark in the loft. And we placed a heating panel on the floor to get the air floating up.
